Protecting Pockets and the Planet

wrap.png

Extending the average life of clothes by just nine months of active use per item would lead to a 20-30% reduction in each carbon, water and waste footprints

We began business in March 2024 and so are currently evolving our business model around our mission of protecting pockets and the planet. The concept of our community project was born from Sam and Elliot listening to Jeremy Vine on BBC Radio 2 in 2023 and in 2024 they both decided to put the wheels in motion.  Mum and son began by putting the feelers out on Facebook and the first event was held in Market Drayton at the Scout Hut on Elizabeth Court.  They were overwhelmed by the amount of clothing donated.  Although the footfall wasn't brilliant, they both understood, pragmatically, that all things start small and this project is worth building, so the concept was turned into a Community Interest Company.  Whilst the community project is built, for logistical purposes most events will be held in North Shropshire unless they can find volunteers to run events in the Telford and Southern parts of Shropshire.
